Philly Food Rescue knows that good food belongs to people, not landfills. We fight food insecurity and food waste, utilizing volunteers to rescue surplus food from businesses and redirecting donations to nearby organizations serving our neighbors.

Using Food Rescue Hero technology,
Share’s Philly Food Rescue program:

  • Works with food donors and schedules donation pickups
  • Coordinates a last-mile transportation network, dispatching volunteer drivers to deliver donations directly to local community partners
  • Tracks giving and data, measuring real-time impact on nutrition security and the environment
