Steveanna Wynn was a fierce, passionate warrior for food justice. As Executive Director of Share Food Program from 1989 – 2018, Steveanna was widely respected for her tireless work to bring nourishing food to people and communities facing hard times. In 2012, she was honored as “Citizen of the Year” by the Philadelphia Inquirer for her commitment and dedication to ending hunger.
We have created the Steveanna Wynn Legacy Fund to sustain her remarkable work and vision. Growing up on farm, Steveanna believed deeply that everyone should be able to enjoy healthy, fresh food. She created Share’s onsite Nice Roots Farm and orchard to help increase access to locally grown produce. The farm was also her refuge, a place for contemplation and restoration during long days.
Your donation to the Steveanna Wynn Legacy Fund will help to “grow” our farm, orchards and someday a green roof atop our building. Every gift will fulfill Steveanna’s belief that together, we can nourish our community.
Thank you for helping to continue Steveanna’s deep caring, compassion and activism for those in need.
