Share Food Program welcomed 200 volunteers from organizations across the region, including Governor Josh Shapiro and First Lady Lori Shapiro. Joining the governor and his family were State Representatives Morgan Cephas, Danilo Burgos, and Roni Green, City Commissioner Lisa Deeley, members of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia, a group of individuals from Drexel University, as well as many other community volunteers.

How to Replace Stolen SNAP Benefits

The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) recently announced that recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) who have had their benefits electronically stolen on or after October 1, 2022 will now be able to replace their stolen SNAP benefits through federal funds.

Share Food Program is hosting a groundbreaking event for Delaware County’s newest, dedicated food bank. The 9,000-square-foot warehouse, currently undergoing renovations, will serve as the County’s central hub for food commodities and distribution for the growing network of pantries in the region.

Press Release: Share Food Program to Receive Nourishing Neighbors Donations Made at ACME Markets Foundation Stores in September

Share Food Program has been selected as a charity partner for ACME Markets Foundation and will receive donations from its annual Nourishing Neighbors campaign which helps to ensure every child has access to a healthy breakfast. All donations made at 13 ACME Markets Foundation stores throughout Delaware and Montgomery Counties will be used to help Share Food Program ensure that all children can receive nutritious breakfasts, through our work managing the National School Lunch Program across the region, and our partnerships with food pantries serving our region’s families.
