Holiday Distribution Events Feed 1,000+ Families

From December 29, 2025 to January 2, 2026, Share Food Program teamed up with partners across the region to host free food distributions for individuals during a time when many food pantries are traditionally closed. Over the course of a few days, Share’s staff and community partners handed out thousands of pounds of food across Philadelphia, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.
By the end of the week, 1,044 families were fed. At a time when the cost of living and inflation are high and food insecurity rates soar, Share Food Program’s efforts to break down barriers to food access and provide hunger-fighting resources is more important than ever.
This critical work is possible because of our generous supporters, volunteers, and a vast network of community-based partners, including the folks below who stepped up to host Share’s pop-up distributions.
