Fireside Chat: “The Cost of Cuts: What’s at Stake in the Fight Against Hunger”

This year's event will feature an intimate conversation that explores the devastating impacts of federal funding cuts to SNAP and Medicaid, as well as the loss of over $8 million in food and funding support for Share Food Program and our region—leaving tens of thousands of families, seniors, and children at greater risk of hunger.

In this candid chat, Share Food Program Executive Director George Matysik and Journalist Solomon Jones will talk about the real cost of these cuts for people and nonprofits, bold solutions to address the growing hunger crisis, and how civic engagement and philanthropic collaboration are more crucial than ever in shaping the future of food security.
