Across the country, food insecurity is on the rise. Inflation and slashed SNAP benefits have made it harder than ever for families to put meals on the table. But with you by our side, Share Food Program is working harder than ever to get nourishing food to our neighbors throughout Montgomery County.
Share is the lead agency in Montgomery County, providing emergency assistance food, senior food boxes, school lunches, and rescued/donated food through our Philly Food Rescue (PFR) program.
To meet the growing need in the region, we recently renovated a 27,000-square-foot warehouse in Lansdale, PA, allowing Share to more effectively and efficiently feed more than 55,000 low-income families, kids and seniors in the region through a network of nearly 240 local partnerships every month. While Share has long served Montgomery County, this new facility is our organization’s first dedicated food distribution hub in the County and marks a significant step forward in our fight against hunger in this region.
