Q.  How do I find a Share Food site near me - I live in the areas listed at the top of this web page...
A.  From the main page of the website, click on find a host.

Q.  I live outside your service area, do you know if there is a Share Food Program near me?
A.  For over several years now, Share Food Program providers have been independent.  AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE YOU WILL FIND A LIST OF SHARE FOOD PROGRAMS THAT MAY BE ABLE TO HELP YOU FIND A SHARE FOOD PROGRAM IN YOUR AREA.  If there is not a Share Food Program near you, please contact the nearest one one the list.  DO NOT CONTACT US - WE CAN NOT HELP YOU FIND A SHARE PROGRAM THAT IT OUTSIDE PA, DE, NJ, NYC, Eastern Shore of MD.

Q.  I would like to become a Host Site, what do I need to do and do I qualify.
A.  Anyone can become a host site.  Some things to keep in mind:  You must attend a host training class, you will have to pick up your food from Philadelphia Share Center or your local Satellite Distribution Point, you will need to have at least 3 people on your host team, a place to distribute the food from, and fill out our Host Application Form available online.

Q.  How many packages can I purchase per month?
A.  You may purchase as many packages and preference items as you like, so long as you perform community service.

Q.  What is considered community service?
A.  Anything you do for your family or your community that you are not paid to do that makes the world a better place.

Q.  How do I volunteer at the Share Food Center in Philadelphia?
A.  You can either show up at Share M-F 8:30-4:30 or contact Eloise McBride (215) 223-2220 ext 108 to schedule a time and date for you and or your group.

Q.  How do I quality to purchase food from Share?
A.  If you can eat, you qualify

Q.  I am disabled, do you deliver food?
A.  We do not deliver food.  You can contact a host provider in your area and inquire, as a few host do deliver to individual participants.

We do not know of any other Share Food Programs outside of our service area other then what is on the list below.
